The technologies behind the Medama products are giant leaps forward compared to the decades-old surfactant and polymer-based technologies that dominate the market. Medama Super Shield, for example, removes soil from within the top four layers of finish on floors and removes hand sanitizer stains for a clean that other products can’t match. This enables it to provide a far superior shine compared to other floor cleaners while greatly reducing the amount of waxing, stripping, and burnishing that is needed to maintain the shine. Iron Coat, another product from the Medama line, was developed for high resistance to wear and chemicals, and unlike other long-lasting floor coatings, it can be stripped if desired. Medama Super Shield – Super Shield is an advanced technology floor and all purpose cleaner that removes soil from the top four layers of finish on a floor. It works exceptionally well on all types of flooring as a finish restorer, daily cleaner, and spray buff, thus doing the work of multiple products. Daily use of Super shield can eliminate the need for stripping and waxing floors and dramatically reduce the amount of burnishing that is required, thus providing significant savings in chemical costs and labor that is required to maintain floors. Super Shield also works extremely well at cleaning stainless steel and keeping it clean since it leaves no residue that can attract oils and soil. Super Shield is an EPA “Safer Choice” product that has virtually no odor.
In a nutshell, the key benefits of Super Shield are:
- EPA certified “Safer Choice” and virtually odorless. Exceeds ASTM-D safety standards.
- One case cleans up to 768,000 square feet as a daily floor cleaner.

Medama Iron Coat – Iron Coat is a “hybrid” low maintenance floor finish that was specially designed for high wear resistance and chemical resistance. Iron Coat holds up in even the toughest traffic and it resists chemicals including alcohol and battery acid. Iron Coat is used in airports, hospitals, grocery stores, universities, and any other environment where a high shine and high wear and/or chemical resistance are prized. Unlike polyurethane finishes, Iron Coat can be burnished bi-weekly, monthly, or as desired. Iron Coat never has to be stripped, though it can be. Rather than stripping Iron Coat, simply scrub it and add another coat. Only two to four coats of Iron Coat are needed depending on traffic, and each coat of Iron Coat dries in 10 – 15 minutes. It is burnished immediately after the last coat is dry rather than waiting 24 hours for it to cure. Iron Coat has virtually no odor, and very low VOCs.
Medama Radiance Floor Coating – Radiance Floor Coating is a “next generation” acrylic floor finish that gives a “wet” looking shine to floors without ever yellowing or cracking. When maintained with Super Shield, it can last for years without the need for stripping and re-coating. Simply scrub it and top coat as needed. Each coat of Radiance Floor Coating dries in about 10 minutes, and it has very low odor and VOCs.
Medama GenX Stripper – GenX Stripper is a concentrated stripper for acrylic finishes and for sealers that has virtually no odor and very low VOCs. GenX Stripper is diluted 20:1, so a little goes a long way thus reducing chemical costs associated with stripping floors. This product also works quickly to help reduce labor costs.
